Fastest transcription. Generous free tier. Best for most users.
OpenAI
Best quality. Most proven model. Pay-per-use.
Anthropic
For AI editing only (Claude). Not for transcription.
Google
For AI editing only (Gemini). Not for transcription.
Recommendation: Use Groq for transcription, any provider for AI editing.

Create an account
Sign up at your chosen provider's website and navigate to the API section.

Generate an API key
Create a new API key in the provider's dashboard. Copy it — you'll need it in the next step.
Never share your API key. Treat it like a password.

Paste into Sonera
Desktop: Settings → API Keys
Mobile: Settings → API Keys

Test it
Press your dictation hotkey (desktop) or the microphone button (mobile) and say something. If you see your transcription, you're all set!
Groq's free tier is enough for most users.
